Steeped in history this former market town is characterised by its many period buildings ranging from a 14th century tower at St Mary's church, Georgian architecture and a picturesque 6 acre Mere Lake with fish in abundance. Diss is also visited for its distinguished auction rooms, ideal for antique and bric-a-brac bargain hunters.
Centrally located, the cottage is within easy reach to historic Bury St Edmunds with its abbey ruins and cobble stoned shopping area. In the other direction you will find Norwich city cathedral and castle where you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the ancient walls. Only fifty minutes away is the Southwold and Suffolk heritage coastline, and Lavenham and Cambridge are easily accessible.

A delightful canalside cottage close to the Cumbrian border, ideally located to explore the surrounding area and coast, or visit the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland National Parks, which are all within a 25 minute drive.
Morecambe Bay is renowned for birdwatching and the RSPB reserve at Leighton moss is 7 miles away, situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Being on the doorstep of the three National Parks, the cottage provides an ideal base for touring and walking. Coast within a mile.
There are many good golf courses locally and fishing is available on the River Lune nearby.
"Kiln Cottage", as the name suggests, is part of a former Malt Kiln dating back over 200 years and is situated adjacent to the picturesque Lancaster Canal. Colourful narrowboats pass the door, together with swans, ducks and moorhens, while the towpath provides opportunities for walking and cycling.
A short stroll along the canal towpath brings you to the village, where you will find the post office, general store, butcher, newsagent, churches and a couple of pubs.

Set in its own one acre garden with idyllic views of the
Cotswold Edge. The ground floor accommodation comprises
of a lounge, kitchen/diner, laundry room and wc. The five
ensuite bedrooms are on the first and second floors and
all have colour television, alarm clock radio and hair
dryer. Burrows Court is ideally located for visits to the
South Cotswold Villages, Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge
Wildfowl Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum the cities of
Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucestershire are about 40
miutes away by car. There is ample parking.
