Ciderhouse Cottage
Monmouth
Sleeps: 7

Ciderhouse Cottage is situated in the heart of Monmouthshire on a working farm which was originally part of the Rolls Estate (CO-founder of Rolls Royce) and, in fact, it is not unusual to see wild deer grazing in the nearby parkland. We are only 5 miles from the bustling, medieval town of Monmouth with its many shops and restaurants and 15 miles from Abergavenny which has a regular rail service taking you directly to the centre of Cardiff. This traditional stone and brick built barn has been converted to retain many of its original features. Exposed beams, slate floors and under-floor heating give an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. A two minute walk to the highest point behind the farm will guarantee you breathtaking views of the Sugar Loaf, Black Mountains and surrounding rolling countryside. Visit the many magnificent border castles nearby or join in the numerous outdoor sports on offer. Offa’s Dyke path, one of the most famous walks in Britain and the Three Castles walk are both just 1 ˝ miles away. There are also many wonderful woodland walks in the Forest of Dean with cycle hire and canoeing available. The cottage is also within easy reach of many excellent eating places, including the famous Michelin starred Walnut Tree and The Bell at Skenfrith. An ideal location - head south to the lush meadows of the Wye Valley or north to the contrasting rugged hills of the Brecon Beacons. The cottage has three bedrooms -one double/family with wet room en suite, two twin rooms and additional bathroom.
