Stonechat a semi-detached beach cottage is situated in a quiet valley, 30 yards from the beach at Polzeath, ideally situated for surfing and other beach activity. Sandford Cottage is located on Southmoor Farm close to the village of Hawkchurch near Axminster, South East Devon. The very secluded and peaceful holiday cottage was rebuilt some 8 years ago to the original design with local stone, solid walls and exposed low timber beamed ceiling. Southmoor Farm is approximately 80 acres in total, 24 of which are used primarily for livestock. The majority of the land remains untouched and the result is acres of secluded 'wild' areas including woodland, meadows, ponds and streams for you to enjoy. There are lovely walks around and dogs are allowed on our foreshore at any time, with "No restrictions" except a high tide. There is cycling on the Tarka trail with many places to hire cycles. Norchard is on a lane that has no through traffic. <b>Surrounded by acres of National Trust estate with 20 miles of footpaths, it commands a beautiful view across fields to the Golden Cap,</B> the highest hill on the Channel. The sea is half a mile away and the coast is unspoilt. Bathing and walking are there for on your doorstep. Riding is easily available. Lyme Regis, 6 miles to the west, offers sea excursions in summer as does West Bay, 6 miles to the west, where there are two very good fish restaurants.
