It is part of the old miller’s house which stands adjacent to the former water mill, forming a completely self-contained private dwelling with its own secluded cottage garden. A wonderful, peaceful retreat from which to explore the Cotswolds and Shakespeare country. The Cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Built of local honey-coloured stone, the cottage stands in 3½ acres of land, which includes a smallholding where we keep poultry and sheep. Situated 1½ miles from the attractive small market town of Chipping Norton, perched on a hill overlooking Glyme and Evenlode valleys – a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Sowton Mill Cottage

Converted small mill on River Teign, 7 miles west of Exeter on Dartmoor National Park boundary. Peaceful rural setting in 5 acres gardens/woods. The western end of the mill was the working part which has been converted into the holiday cottage. The cottage has extensive gardens for you to explore between the leat and the river and up to the wooded valley behind the Mill-house - about 5 acres in all.
